Antibacterial Activity and Drug Loading of Moxifloxacin-Loaded Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)/Chitosan Electrospun Nanofibers

In this study, nanofibers with different ratios of poly(vinyl alcohol) and chitosan incorporated moxifloxacin hydrochloride (MH/PVA/CS) were fabricated through the blending electrospinning, morphological features tested using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Further characterization new nanofiber was accomplished by Thermogravimetric analysis (TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD) Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Antibacterial activity MH-loaded at drug loading compared blank group. Experimental results show that MH/PVA/CS exhibited good antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus Pseudomonas aeruginosa due to MH incorporation. Compared nanofibers, have significantly better properties, proportions PVA CS a certain effect on nanofibers. The conclusions in paper composite may great potential materials.
